Dee Patel
Managing Director
Dee Patel is the Managing Director of The Hermitage Hotel, Tennessee’s only luxury five-star hotel, where she is responsible for running all company facets and strategic direction of the iconic hotel, as well as various real estate entities. Patel was named General Manager in 2014 and then Managing Director in 2019, the first female to serve in both leadership roles in the hotel’s 111-year history. Under Patel’s leadership, The Hermitage has garnered numerous accolades, including 2020 Historic Hotel of the Year by Historic Hotels of America, “Top 10 Historic Hotels in the U.S.” by USA Today, and the designation as a National Historic Landmark, the only hotel in the state of Tennessee to hold this distinction. This honor cements the hotel’s legacy as one of the most prominent sites in the suffrage movement.
In addition to her work with the hotel, Patel is a prominent and highly active member of the Nashville community and the hospitality industry. She has received notable awards including Nashville Post’s 2021 Most Powerful Women, Nashville Lifestyles’ 2021 Women in Business, Asian American Hotel Owners Association’s Outstanding Woman Hotelier of the Year award, and 2021 Hotelier of the Year by Tennessee Hospitality.
