The City of Rexburg and Madison County will host America 250: A Freedom Celebration, a special community event commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. Held at Bobcat Stadium at Madison High School, the evening will feature a live concert by country music artist Russell Dickerson, followed by a drone light show and fireworks display celebrating America’s founding and the enduring spirit of freedom. This celebration is part of Rexburg’s broader recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Teton Dam Flood, honoring the community’s resilience and recovery following the devastating 1976 disaster. As the nation marks 250 years of independence, the event reflects on the past 50 years of shared values of service, perseverance, and unity that helped rebuild Rexburg and continue to define the community today. Food vendor trailers will be available on site, creating a festive atmosphere for families and visitors. The event is expected to attract residents and visitors from throughout Madison County and Eastern Idaho as part of the region’s Independence Day celebration kick-off.
