The Blackfoot Ranch Rodeo is a family-friendly celebration of the skills, grit, and teamwork that define America’s ranching tradition. Contestants will compete in events that mirror the daily work of our nation’s hardworking ranch families, highlighting the spirit of collaboration and perseverance that built the American West. In honor of America’s 250th birthday, Arts Idaho is partnering with the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage to spotlight this iconic event alongside 30 other nationwide celebrations, recognizing it as a vibrant example of regional culture and traditional American life. The rodeo will take place June 26–27 at the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds in Blackfoot. The weekend will feature food and craft vendors, youth activities, a Grand Entry parade, a Friday night concert and dance, and a Saturday night fireworks display. The festivities will open and close with thrilling Indian Relay Races, presented by the Fort Hall Indian Relay Association and the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe.
