Join us as we savor history through foods in El Paso! Using historic recipes, site staff will explore the contributions of Chinese settlers. Jiaozi, or potstickers, are dumplings prepared for the Chinese New Year by filling a dough casing with meat and vegetables. El Paso had the largest Chinese population in the state of Texas in the 1880’s. Their contribution began with the arrival of the train in 1881 and continues today! The cost is $10 per person. All ingredients are provided. Please call (915) 533-5147 to register in advance as space is limited.
