The Grover Cleveland Birthplace Memorial Association in cooperation with the New Jersey Office of Historic Sites, and New Jersey State Parks is pleased to announce the Annual Grover Cleveland Birthplace 4th of July Ice Cream Social for 2026. Our event this year will be celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the United States.

All events will take place on the birthplace grounds at 207 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell. (In the event of rain, some of the activities will take place at the St. Aloysius Church Gymnasium next door to the birthplace.)

The event will be a fun-filled celebration with free ice cream (from Guerriero Gelato, Caldwell), food for purchase (from Cloverleaf Tavern, Caldwell), a magician, a clown, a D.J., free lemonade, items to be sold in Museum Gift Shop, and a visit from “Grover Cleveland” himself. The opening ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m. to be followed by the serving of ice cream at 1:00 p.m. For this year, ice cream will be served in a special 250th commemorative dish. The festivities will conclude at 4:00 p.m. In the event of rain, some of the activities will take place at the St. Aloysius Church Gymnasium next door to the birthplace. A 5.00 donation is suggested and a 50/50 drawing will take place.

Giving 4th

A new tradition starts now.

We’ve always been a nation of givers. Imagine what could happen if we all gave at the same time. Introducing Giving 4th, our campaign that calls on all Americans to add something new to their July 4th celebrations: giving back to the causes and communities they care about.
Join the new tradition — take the pledge.
