America’s Field Trip 2026 Awardees

What does America mean to you? That’s the question thousands of students across the country in grades 3–12 answered for the Semiquincentennial edition of America’s Field Trip contest, one of America250’s signature education programs.

A panel of current and former educators selected an inspiring group of 250 student awardees whose original writing and artwork captures the creativity, curiosity, and civic spirit that will shape our nation’s next 250 years.

This summer, 125 first-place awardees will embark on once-in-a-lifetime field trips to some of America’s most iconic historic, cultural, and natural landmarks. The 125 second-place awardees each receive a cash prize.

The 2026 class of America’s Field Trip awardees — the largest yet — represent 42 states, three U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia,  and reflect themes including community, perseverance, freedom, opportunity, and service.
