With signature events in New York City, Philadelphia, and California, plus Main Street celebrations nationwide, the Semiquincentennial will come alive in communities everywhere.

Giving 4th Broadcast Benefit Show

The Giving 4th Broadcast Benefit Show at One Times Square will bring together performers, nonprofits, corporations, and communities across the country to drive charitable donations, turning the moment of celebrating our nation’s 250th into an enduring movement of impact. Note: This event will be livestreamed. There will be no public viewing area in the plazas or streets of Times Square for this event, and the event will not be visible outside of the building.

America’s Time Capsule Dedication

We’ll dedicate the official America250 Time Capsule at Independence Hall, potentially in coordination with a special session of the United States Congress. The capsule will contain items that help tell the story of America at 250 and will be opened during America’s 500th birthday year in 2276.
