5,000 Free Tickets will be Donated to First Responders, Veterans, and Service Members
WASHINGTON, DC — June 15, 2026 — America250 today announced that Chris Stapleton and The Smashing Pumpkins will take the stage for America’s Block Party at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on July 4, 2026, hosted by Queen Latifah. Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks. The landmark concert will celebrate Giving 4th, America250’s new national initiative calling on all Americans to add something new to their celebration: the act of giving back through pledges for charitable donations.
Tickets will go on sale on June 16 at 10 a.m. PDT at America250.org/LA. Fans can also download the official America’s Block Party app to find a block party near them, access the livestream, and participate in Giving 4th.
America250 is hosting the concert as the Los Angeles anchor of a nationwide, sea-to-shining-sea celebration and a unifying call for Americans to make a pledge to support a nonprofit or cause they care about, then fulfill that pledge through a charitable donation as the nation celebrates July 4.
America250 is the only national, nonpartisan organization charged by Congress to help lead the celebration and commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Its mission is to engage all 350 million Americans through national programming, major events, partnerships and public participation opportunities.
“As we celebrate our 250th anniversary, we have an opportunity to bring Americans together around the values that continue to unite us.” said Rosie Rios, Chair of America250. “Giving back represents the best part of the American spirit, and through Giving 4th, we’re aiming to establish a new, nationwide season of giving,” anchored around July 4.”
Chris Stapleton, The Smashing Pumpkins and Queen Latifah will perform for a live audience in Los Angeles as part of a nationally connected experience spanning major cities and local communities to bring Americans together for celebration and purpose. As the event’s official host, Queen Latifah will guide audiences through the historic celebration, connecting performances, stories of impact, and moments of national pride in a night designed to inspire generosity across America.
“Los Angeles knows how to put on a show, and hosting America’s Block Party at the LA Coliseum is going to be something special,” said Queen Latifah. “This is a chance to celebrate a once-in-a-generation milestone with great music, real energy, and a purpose that reaches far beyond the stadium.”
“Playing the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on July 4 for America’s 250th is a rare kind of moment,” said The Smashing Pumpkins drummer, Jimmy Chamberlin. “We’ve always believed in the power of music to be a unifying principle. It brings people together and allows them to express themselves in a forum that has a common destination- and it allows all of us the opportunity to participate in a celebration that has meaning, history, and impact.”
A pre-event Block Party Village with music and giveaways as well as free food and drink, will be open to ticket holders starting at 3 p.m. PDT with the live concert beginning at 6 p.m. PDT. The show will culminate in a fireworks and drone spectacular.
Giving 4th, Turning July 4 into a Day of Generosity
America’s Block Party will launch Giving 4th, an America250 initiative that aims to establish a new, nationwide season of giving anchored around July 4th – uniting Americans through acts of generosity and making Independence Day not just a day that Americans celebrate, but a day of shared impact. Through Giving 4th, Americans will be invited to support causes and organizations that matter most to them, with America250 encouraging participation nationwide.
The Los Angeles event will serve as the centerpiece of Giving 4th – connecting the West Coast to a nationwide celebration that begins on the East Coast with the July 3 Ball Drop at One Times Square to spark participation in a shared day of celebration and giving on July 4. Additional America’s Block Party locations include Summerfest in Milwaukee, Fort Campbell Festival in Kentucky, and SC250 Charleston, with announcements for celebrations in Boston and Philadelphia coming soon.
To ensure measurable impact, America250 will collaborate with GivingTuesday, the global generosity movement, to track charitable donations nationwide.
America250 Drives Momentum from Sea to Shining Sea
With just over one month until July 4, 2026, America250 continues to build nationwide participation and its strongest momentum yet through values-based programming focused on service, storytelling, education, innovation, culture and community engagement. Across its programs, America250 is creating opportunities for Americans to learn, participate and share their stories as part of a national commemoration designed to build long before and endure long after the fireworks, including:
- 8 million service hours recorded through America Gives.
- 73,000 flags distributed through America Waves.
- 25 states (and counting!) visited by the Our American Story mobile recording studio.
- 30 college student finalists competed in America’s Startup.
- Multiple artists signed for America’s Soundtrack.
