Doris Kearns Goodwin is often heralded as “America’s Historian-in-Chief.” A biographer and historian, Goodwin has written biographies of numerous U.S. presidents. Goodwin’s book No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt: The Home Front in World War II won the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1995. She won the 2005 Lincoln Prize for her book Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln. Goodwin’s most recent book is An Unfinished Love Story: A Personal History of the 1960s. Her incredible knowledge of American history will be essential in our mission to bring Americans together in celebration.
