Lorna Auerbach

After graduating from Palisades High School in Southern California, Lorna earned her B.A. in Political Science and History at D.U., her Teaching Credential at UCLA and her M.A. in Multi-Cultural Education at Pepperdine University. After teaching for seven years at Roosevelt High School in East Los Angeles Lorna Auerbach joined the Ernest Auerbach Company in 1978, a company founded by her father. The business owned and operated a commercial real estate development and construction company. Lorna serves as CEO and President of Auerbach Commercial Realty Corp, the asset management entity which she founded that oversees the Auerbach commercial real estate investment portfolio nationwide. Lorna holds a California Broker’s License as well as a CPM (Certified Property Manager) from the Institute of Real EstateManagement (IREM). Lorna is an active member of YPO, Young Presidents Organization and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the California Business Properties Association.
Lorna is a member of the Real Estate Council of AIPAC, the Real Estate Council of YPO-WPO, served on the Advisory Board of With Your Shield at USC, as well as a member of Women Moving Millions. Lorna Co-founded L.A. Land Ladies and is past President of the Los Angeles-Santa Monica Chapter of Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club. She founded Chasca Films, LLC to provide fiscal sponsorship for films which raise awareness of sexual violence and exploitation towards women and girls as well as issues related to the sex trafficking of minors. Through Chasca Films she has been Executive Producer on several films written, directed and produced by women including India’s Daughter, I Am Jane Doe and The Tale.
The Auerbach Legacy Foundation of whichLorna is the President, supports various charities, such as Saint John’sHospital, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Ping Pong For Good, The Navy SEAL Foundation, Women’s Voices Now and Women, Women Moving Millions, the C4 Foundation for Navy SEAL families, California Home Building Foundation, CAST (Coalition Against Slavery and Trafficking, Shared Hope, Santa Monica Police Officers Association, the USO, and The Music Center.
Lorna has been married to Lawrence Alan Wheat for 22 years snd they have two adult daughters.
