As we turn the page into 2025, we’re even closer to celebrating our nation’s Semiquincentennial. The Rhode Island 250 Commission and the Rhode Island Historical Society are hosting a professional development series for educators from January to June 2025, exploring Rhode Island’s role in America’s founding.
Each session, held once a month across the state, will highlight key aspects of Rhode Island’s history. January’s session, “The Birthplace of Religious Freedom: How Far Have We Come?” will examine Rhode Island’s contribution to religious freedom, on January 30th at 4:00 pm at the Aldrich House in Providence.
