America250 to be Featured Throughout Super Bowl LX

WASHINGTON, DC (February 3, 2026) — America250, the national nonpartisan organization charged by Congress with leading the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, is heading to Super Bowl LX to invite NFL fans from sea to shining sea to take part in the historic Semiquincentennial.

“We’re here to engage all 350 million Americans for America’s 250th,” said Rosie Rios, Chair of America250. “The Super Bowl is a moment everyone shares, and so is America’s 250th. We’re here to rally passionate NFL fans across the country around it.”

America250 and Chair Rios, a Bay Area native, will be at Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California as an official partner of the National Football League.

“The NFL is proud to participate in celebrating America’s 250th anniversary,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “The story of the NFL reflects the story of America, and the American spirit of resilience, innovation and teamwork has helped football grow into a cultural pastime that unites us all. We are excited to honor our country’s history and celebrate our collective future.”

As fans gear up for kickoff at the biggest game of the year, America250’s game plan is to rally fans around red, white and blue.

Pregame: America250 at Super Bowl LX Experience & Game Day Experience

From February 3-7, fans can visit the America250 Airstream at the Super Bowl LX Experience at San Francisco’s Moscone Center to grab America250 Rally Towels, snap commemorative photos, and share a personal story for Our American Story. On Super Bowl Sunday, the celebration will move to the Levi’s Stadium lot as fans gear up to head into the game.

Game Day: America250 Takes the Field

As part of the pregame ceremony, America250 will take the field with a moment designed for football’s biggest stage: a giant America250 flag covering approximately 40 yards will be unfurled alongside the American flag. Fans inside Levi’s Stadium will also take part in a surprise, participatory moment.

The historic Super Bowl pregame flyover will also carry special meaning. The Flag Sojourn 250 — a special American flag traveling the country as a tribute to service and unity as part of America250’s America Waves program — will be in the cockpit of the lead jet during the multi-service military flyover in a 250th anniversary formation. This flag will have touched every state, every U.S. territory, and every U.S. cemetery overseas by July 4, 2026. Members of the flyover team will wear a USA 250 patch during the pregame ceremony, honoring America’s 250th anniversary as they fly overhead.

As part of the in-game experience, every player will wear a USA 250 patch on their Super Bowl jersey, a visible tribute to America’s 250th anniversary during the biggest game of the year.

These elements build upon America250 features during playoff games, including branded game footballs, custom coin toss coins, and sideline stencils.

Post-Game:  Preserving Super Bowl LX in America250 Time Capsule

After the final snap, America250 will collect select items from Super Bowl LX to be included in the official America250 Time Capsule. The items will be buried in the capsule in Philadelphia in July 2026 and reopened on July 4, 2276, giving future generations a snapshot of the biggest NFL game of the Semiquincentennial year.

America250 Across Major Sports Moments in 2026

Throughout the Semiquincentennial year, America250 will show up at some of the biggest moments in sports through partnerships across professional leagues and global events. America250’s sports footprint includes strategic partnerships with Major League Baseball, the United States Soccer Federation, and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee — extending the celebration from stadiums and arenas to fans across the country and around the world.
