Peter Gichuru

Peter Gichuru is responsible for planning and directing the finance and accounting operations of America250. In this role, he oversees internal controls, audit, budgeting, monitoring of expenditure, cash flow management and forecasting, and procurement.

Gichuru has more than 30 years’ experience primarily in nonprofit finance and accounting. Prior to joining America250, Gichuru served as the Director of Finance for the Millennium Water Alliance for 10 years, a nonprofit organization based in Washington DC. He also held finance roles for 15 years at the United Nations World Food Program as well as 4 years at World Relief Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Baltimore.
