America250 is the official organization charged by Congress with leading the nation in commemorating and celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026. The U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission and America250.org, Inc., together known as America250, work together to design and lead the largest and most comprehensive and inspiring celebration in our country’s history. This multi-year effort aims to catalyze a more perfect union by honoring our first 250 years and inspiring the American spirit in all citizens.

Role Description

The Operations Intern will support the internal functions of America250 by ensuring day-to-day activities run efficiently and effectively. This role focuses on maintaining an organized office environment, assisting with logistics for internal needs, and providing flexible support across teams. The intern will also contribute to projects in event management, digital marketing, partnerships, and other initiatives, offering broad exposure to the organization’s work.

Essential Duties

This position will provide, but not limited to, the following:

  • Operations and Archival Support:
    • Craft letters, memos, emails, and reports as directed to support internal communications
    • Assist with office organization, supply management, and planning for internal staff activities
    • Help maintain documentation, records, and archival files, ensuring materials are cataloged and preserved
  • Project and Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Partner with staff members on projects across departments, including event management, digital marketing, and partnerships
    • Provide research, documentation, and coordination support for ongoing initiatives
    • Contribute to collaborative projects and events while adapting to organizational needs as assigned
  • Event and Meeting Logistics:
    • Assist with planning, setup, and coordination of internal and external events
    • Provide on-the-ground support during programs hosted by America250, including hospitality and follow-up tasks
    • Compile notes, update records, and ensure documentation of key outcomes from meetings and events
