To celebrate the 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial) of America’s Revolution, let’s celebrate like they did in 1976! The Orangetown Bi-Centennial committee knew how to rock the revolution when disco was king. Take a trip back in time to celebrate the historic events that marked Orangetown’s revolutionary past – and see how it was remembered 50 years ago as we re-open our blockbuster exhibit 1776 / 1976, FROM DEMOCRACY TO DISCO. History happened here; find out how and why it’s still important. The museum will be open free of charge all day with guided tours (and treats for visitors). The beautiful grounds of the DePew House, located on the corner of Orangeburg Road and Chief Bill Harris Way will welcome visitors with live music, reenactments, crafts, history and memorabilia. Let’s make some new memories together on Saturday, April 18th!

A new tradition starts now.

We’ve always been a nation of givers. Imagine what could happen if we all gave at the same time. Introducing Giving 4th, our campaign that calls on all Americans to add something new to their July 4th celebrations: giving back to the causes and communities they care about.
