The Texas Military Forces Museum, the official Museum of the Texas National Guard, will celebrate our nation's 250th birthday with music provided by the 36th Infantry Division band, a reading of the Declaration of Independence and speech on its historical context and the role of our military in making its words a reality and defending them throughout our history, reenactors in period uniforms will fire celebratory musket and cannon volleys. Guests will be invited to enjoy birthday cake inside the museum after the outdoor ceremony. Bleacher seating, shaded by large oak trees. One hour duration.
