On this day in 1775, the opening shots of the American Revolution rang out at Lexington and Concord, marking the beginning of the fight for independence. Brave colonial militias stood against the British, proving that the quest for liberty would not be easily extinguished. As we commemorate the 250th anniversary of these battles, we honor the courage and sacrifice of those who took a stand for freedom and set the course for a new nation.
