Established 35 years ago, the American Discovery Trail runs from the Atlantic to the Pacific through more than a dozen states and past hundreds of historic sites, including some in our nation's capital.

On Oct. 25, we gather in Oakland, California to celebrate the trail, which passes across lands managed by the East Bay Regional Park District. From 3-5 pm, there's a walk; from 5-6 pm, we gather for snacks and a small celebration.

Giving 4th

A new tradition starts now.

We’ve always been a nation of givers. Imagine what could happen if we all gave at the same time. Introducing Giving 4th, our campaign that calls on all Americans to add something new to their July 4th celebrations: giving back to the causes and communities they care about.
Join the new tradition — take the pledge.
