A Historic Celebration for America’s 250th Anniversary
We are thrilled to announce the 50th Annual South County 4th of July Parade, a landmark celebration that coincides with the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Presented by Waste Connections, this year promises to be one of the most memorable parades in our community’s history as we honor both our nation’s founding and five decades of local tradition.
Our 2026 theme, “America250 " reflects the courage, vision, and enduring ideals that have shaped our country since 1776. The parade will bring these values to life through patriotic floats, marching bands, community groups, and creative entries that showcase the pride and unity of South County.
This year’s milestone celebration will also feature two unforgettable patriotic moments. Beginning at 8:00 a.m., parade‑goers can enjoy pre‑parade entertainment leading up to the dramatic Rolling Thunder cannon salute, which officially signals the parade step‑off at 9:00 a.m.
In honor of America250, attendees will also have the rare opportunity to witness a live bald eagle appearance, presented by Last Chance Forever – The Bird of Prey Conservancy. As our national bird and a powerful symbol of American freedom, the eagle’s presence adds a meaningful and inspiring tribute to this historic 250th anniversary celebration.
A panel of Community Celebrity Parade Judges will once again select winners across ten award categories, recognizing the creativity and craftsmanship of our outstanding participants.
As we approach this historic milestone, we invite everyone to join us on July 4 for a morning filled with pride, celebration, and community spirit. Together, we’ll honor our past, celebrate our present, and look ahead to the future we are building for the next generation and beyond. We can’t wait to celebrate with you at this unforgettable 50th Anniversary Parade, celebrating America250!
