The City of Longview and Gregg County will host an America 250 Kickoff Celebration featuring multiple free events and activities in Downtown Longview on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The Day begins with a Chautauqua Festival at the Longview Public Library from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; a historical "old west" style festival called Dalton Days at the Gregg County historical museum from Noon - 4 p.m.; a Downtown Live concert at Heritage Plaza from 5 - 8 p.m.; an America 250 parade at 6:30 p.m.,; and an America 250 Laser Light Show at 8:15 p.m. All events are free to attend and focus on our shared local community and national history.
