During Civic Season, held between Juneteenth and Fourth of July since 2021, hundreds of museums and historic sites in all 50 states host events and share resources to help people, especially younger people, connect with the American story. 50M Americans have participated in the last 4 years.

The 2025 Civic Season includes 50 Slice of History Pizza Parties, 20 “Your Wish For U.S.”’ pop-up art walls, and a huge range of events - trivia, walking tours, river kayaking, poster-making, plant pollination, mini-golf on the USS Constitution, an Amazing Race through Historic Philadelphia, and more.

Giving 4th

A new tradition starts now.

We’ve always been a nation of givers. Imagine what could happen if we all gave at the same time. Introducing Giving 4th, our campaign that calls on all Americans to add something new to their July 4th celebrations: giving back to the causes and communities they care about.
Join the new tradition — take the pledge.
