Join Mount Vernon as we celebrate Juneteenth by remembering how enslaved people resisted enslavement and sought freedom before the Emancipation Proclamation.

See special character performances from actors portraying Ona Judge, Christopher Sheels, and Hercules Posey. Plus, take a tour of the estate, watch spinning, cooking, and blacksmith demonstrations, and honor the lives of the enslaved at a commemoration ceremony.

Giving 4th

A new tradition starts now.

We’ve always been a nation of givers. Imagine what could happen if we all gave at the same time. Introducing Giving 4th, our campaign that calls on all Americans to add something new to their July 4th celebrations: giving back to the causes and communities they care about.
Join the new tradition — take the pledge.
