To mark the beginning of America’s 250th anniversary celebrations, Sabine Parish will host a community kickoff event at Fort Jesup Historic Site, honoring the people and stories that connect Louisiana to the founding and growth of the United States.

The event, Frontier of Freedom: Louisiana’s Legacy in the American Story, will feature guest speakers, music, food, and educational experiences — all set within one of Louisiana’s most historically significant landmarks. The celebration will highlight Louisiana’s colonial, maritime, and frontier history, connecting the story of the El Nuevo Constante shipwreck and the Galvez Expedition to the American Revolution and the establishment of Fort Jesup on the frontier.

Giving 4th

A new tradition starts now.

We’ve always been a nation of givers. Imagine what could happen if we all gave at the same time. Introducing Giving 4th, our campaign that calls on all Americans to add something new to their July 4th celebrations: giving back to the causes and communities they care about.
Join the new tradition — take the pledge.
