Celebrate horses, horsemanship, and America’s 250th Birthday at the Summer Kick-Off Classic Horse Show Series, returning for its 11th season at the Genesee County Fairgrounds. This popular open series welcomes exhibitors, families, and spectators for a summer of friendly competition and community spirit. In honor of the Semiquincentennial, the 2026 season features a patriotic Red, White & Blue theme, with special awards and decorations celebrating America 250. A highlight includes the exhibitor who receives Show Number 1776, earning a commemorative award. The May show offers a relaxed kick-off with show-clothes-optional attire (with 2026 series apparel), while still competing before a professional judge. June brings a Father’s Day weekend celebration honoring dedicated "show dads." In July, the series joins the Genesee County Fair, where exhibitors are encouraged to decorate stalls in patriotic style. The season wraps up in August with a finale celebrating a summer of great horses, competition, and community as Genesee County marks America’s 250th.
