Give Bark 250

Each year in July, building off of July 4th, America's VetDogs traditionally conducts Giving Bark Thursday -- our own 24-hour online giving event.

To commemorate the 250th birthday of America and our official role as a Supporting Partner of America250, this year we’re doing something a little different.

America’s VetDogs will launch Give Bark 250 on July 1, 2026. The campaign is an online fundraising initiative celebrating America’s 250th birthday and our mission of celebrating independence for the veterans and first responders with disabilities we are so honored to serve with our service dogs at no cost to them.

Individuals are encouraged to donate $250 (or more!) to America’s VetDogs to help advance our mission and empower us to provide more life-saving service dogs to America’s heroes.

All donors who make a gift of $250 or higher will receive a limited edition America’s VetDogs Give Bark 250 lapel pin. We will, of course, accept donations at any level but the push will be for $250 or variations of $250 ($250, $25, $50, $100, $500).

We plan to announce a matching gift challenge closer to July 1 to encourage even more giving.

We will launch an “early giving” period from July 1 – July 8 and then do a full day “push” on what we will call Give Bark 250 Day on Thursday, July 9.

We’ll be supporting the campaign via our website, organic and paid social media, email marketing, digital advertising, publicity, our newsletter, and more.
