Thursday's events will immerse attendees in the history of Lafayette's 1825 visit, featuring reenactments and interactions with historical figures. The day includes a welcome ceremony at Chalmette Battlefield, followed by a tour of the Battle of New Orleans exhibit. A late lunch cruise on the Steamboat Natchez, a replica of Lafayette's original vessel, will provide a unique perspective on his journey and experiences.
