The Enemy of My Enemy is My Friend: George Washington and France

Presented by Kyle Meyers

George Washington’s experiences during the French and Indian War solidified a strong animosity towards Britain’s old rival, France. Washington, like most American colonists in the 1700s distrusted and down right hated the French. USC Grad student, Kyle Meyers weighs the different reasons that might have led Washington to change his heart and mind about his once hated enemies turned allies during the American Revolution. Hopefully answering how rivals could join forces against a common foe and share victories over battlefields that they once fought against each other on.
