In celebration of 150 years of Colorado history and 250 years of American history, three secondary schools within Denver Public Schools (DPS), collaborated to create a student art exhibition at Denver International Airport (DEN)! Each piece of artwork is crafted by a student that calls Colorado home and tells a story of Colorado's past, present and future.

This collection reflects a range of artistic mediums, styles and voices. Some works are inspired by the natural beauty of Colorado while others highlight the people, traditions and everyday moments that define life in the Mile High City. Together, these pieces form a collective portrait of a state that is both deeply rooted in history and constantly evolving.

For these young artists, this exhibition is more than an opportunity to share their work. It is a chance to contribute to Colorado's story. Their perspectives remind us that history is not merely something we inherit but something we actively create.

Travelers looking to celebrate America's 250th and Colorado's 150th milestones are invited to view the exhibition. The exhibition is on view now through Nov. 2, 2026, and is located at the Center Core of C Concourse, Mezzanine Level 3.

DPS and DEN would like to thank the talented students of Denver School of the Arts, Hill Campus of Arts and Sciences and Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy for sharing their creativity and expression with the public. To the wonderful educators at these schools, thank you for inspiring students to grow and discover their artistic potential.
