If you are looking for a festival to celebrate the land of the free and the home of the brave, there is no better place than Jefferson City's Salute to America!
In collaboration with Show Me America 250, Salute to America is a multi-day event chock full of live music, family events, reenactors, and fun galore. All events are free to the public. You won't want to miss it!
Kick off the holiday weekend on July 3 with live music from local band Zero to Ninety and a hot air balloon glow at the Capital Region Amphitheater.
Independence Day is filled with fun surrounding the Missouri State Capitol, with a Classic Car Show, Kids Zone, and parade. In the evening, enjoy live music from the Capitol Main Stage from Chris Janson, a Missouri-born musician, proud member of the Grand Ole Opry, and multi-platinum songwriter and artist. In touch with the lighter side of life with self-penned number-one hits “Fix a Drink,” “Good Vibes,” the four-time platinum “Buy Me a Boat,” and the CMA Song of the Year nominee and ACM Video of the Year “Drunk Girl.”
At last, the moment we’ve all been waiting for, the pièce de résistance, drumroll please…the Red, White and Boom Sky Concert! Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and relax as the capital city proudly presents one of the largest fireworks displays in the state. Spectators will “ooh and aah” over the spectacle as brilliant lights soar above the Missouri State Capitol dome before dissolving into the night sky.
