Ski-Hi Stampede

Celebrating more than a century of tradition, the 2026 Ski-Hi Stampede, Colorado's oldest professional rodeo, honors the people, cultures, and community spirit that helped shape our state. Founded in 1919, the Stampede reflects Colorado's agricultural roots, ranching heritage, and the enduring traditions of Monte Vista and the San Luis Valley.
As part of the America 250–Colorado 150 commemoration, Ski-Hi Stampede celebrates Colorado's shared history through living tradition, bringing together professional rodeo, live music, community dance, carnival, and a vibrant parade. From the rodeo arena to the parade route and the dance floor, the Stampede connects past and present, honoring the working landscapes, cultural expression, and community celebrations that continue to define rural Colorado.
