The 250 Ride reenacts Caesar Rodney’s historic overnight journey from Dover, Delaware, to Philadelphia in July of 1776, when he traveled by carriage through the night to cast Delaware’s deciding vote for American independence. In that same spirit, The 250 Ride—an initiative of the Delaware Italian American Foundation—also honors the Unheard Voices of the Revolution, individuals whose contributions helped shape the founding of our nation but were long overlooked. Through reenactment, community engagement, and continued education, this effort brings to life the full history of every hero of the Revolution.
