Enough

Growing up without enough.
Well, I had enough!
Domestic violence going through my head
Wondering if I will escape it
Seven of us,
Never enough,
Enough space,
Enough room,
Seeing things I didnt want to see,
Getting pulled away from my family,
I’m older now.
Things are better for me.
But the memories are lasting.
America the beautiful, America the great?
How can this be true when there is so much hate?
I wont let that break me. I wont let it win.
I promise to fight for the future of kids.
To be stronger than my story.
