Ed Rendell

Governor Rendell has dedicated more than 50 years to public service, including 24 as an elected official. As Governor of Pennsylvania, Rendell cut wasteful spending by over $1 billion and revitalized the state’s economy. As Mayor of Philadelphia, he eliminated a historic deficit, balanced the budget, and revived the city’s economy while achieving five consecutive surpluses. He also served as Philadelphia’s District Attorney and chaired the Democratic National Committee during the 2000 Presidential election.
