Gabrielle Armand
Gabrielle Armand is a seasoned professional with an extensive background in successfully developing, managing, and implementing multi-faceted global marketing, branding, and sponsorship initiatives within the entertainment, not-for-profit, and cultural arts industries. She has an affinity for media and music-related programs and is known for resourcing and leading high-performing teams. Her areas of expertise include revenue-driving product/program development, brand strategy, audience development, digital content production and monetization, international business opportunities, and global advocacy campaigns.
In her current role as Chief Marketing Officer & Vice President, Brand, Sales, and Marketing for Jazz at Lincoln Center (JALC), she oversees the Marketing & Sales, Public Relations & Communications, Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships, Audience Development, Content Development, Creative Services, and Intellectual Property teams. She is responsible for stewarding, strengthening, and monetizing the global brand. She also leads the development of JALC’s growing media initiatives that includes an in-house record label, national radio program, streaming channel, live webcasts, and award-winning long form nationally broadcast video productions.
Armand has strategically designed and managed multi-layered partnerships with major global brands including Coca-Cola, MasterCard, Procter & Gamble, Brooks Brothers, Disney, Bloomberg, Qatar Airways and General Motors. Her campaigns have a very high rate of return on investment and bring together a unique mix of industries (corporate, philanthropic, culinary, fashion, media, etc.), and attract multi-generational and diverse global audiences.
Prior to joining Jazz at Lincoln Center in 2009, she was the Executive Director for Marketing & Communications for the United Nations Association of the United States, where she formed a groundbreaking strategic partnership focused on gender-equity and improving the lives of children in sub-Saharan Africa.
Armand spent the first ten years of her professional career in the recording industry, working with a host of Grammy Award-winning artists and shepherding the commercial release of more than 1,500 records at divisions of Universal Music and Sony Music.
She is a musician and writer and lives in New York City.
