Kristin Thompson

Deputy Executive Director, U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission

Kristin Thompson has over 18 years of experience in the public sector as a strategic advisor and program manager. At America250, as Deputy Executive Director, she has the principal responsibility for the design, management and execution of all America250 tentpole programs from the Commission’s approved playbook and other activations and events and approved Commission projects. In addition, she oversees the day-to-day administration of the Commission.

Prior to joining America250, Thompson was the Product Design Senior Manager at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, where she managed a team responsible for redesigning all new U.S. Currency. Thompson also served as a Senior Advisor to the Treasurer of the United States at the Department of the Treasury. Prior to that she served as the lead team member responsible for implementing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and was a management and program analyst that focused on budget and performance at the Treasury Department.

Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Washington College and a Masters of Business Administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
