Robert A. Brady is an American politician who served as the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 1st congressional district from 1998 to 2019. He was the ranking Democrat, and Chairman, on the United States House Committee on House Administration from 2007 to 2019, where he was known as the “Mayor of Capitol Hill” by his colleagues. He has served as Chairman of the Philadelphia Democratic Party for more than 30 years, and was one of the few members of Congress who was also a county chairman (Philadelphia Democratic City Committee).
