Starting Memorial Day weekend, take a special “journey through yesterday” at the Plainsman Museum as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with “A More Perfect Union” – a timeline exhibition featuring key events in the history of the United States as well as stories from Hamilton County, Nebraska! The exhibition will include a series of banners scattered around the museum that focus on individuals and families that helped shape the history of Hamilton County – from pioneers, to veterans, to inventors, to sports writers and more! These banners will also have QR codes with read-aloud features, family trees, and more family information. There will also be a video timeline in our movie theatre exhibit showing the history of the United States and the history of Hamilton County running alongside one another, demonstrating how the history of our county fits into the broader story of our nation. Happy Birthday America from Hamilton County and the Plainsman Museum!
