A Mosaic of Cultures: Aurora’s Filipino Community Exhibit

The Aurora History Museum & Historic Sites, in partnership with the Office of International and Immigrant Affairs, invites you to experience the next chapter of "A Mosaic of Cultures" with an immersive exploration of Aurora's Filipino community: its history, creativity, resilience and lasting impact on the city we share.

This exhibition marks the fifth community featured in the "A Mosaic of Cultures" series, a project that began more than a decade ago to honor the many cultures that shape Aurora's identity. Through personal stories, historic context, art and cultural traditions, this exhibit highlights how Filipino Americans have contributed to our local history.

Visitors will encounter stories that span the globe, learn about deep-rooted traditions passed down through families and discover how Filipino culture continues to evolve while staying connected to its roots in a changing and globalized world.

Whether you are part of the Filipino community, have Filipino neighbors and friends or are simply curious to learn more about the people who make Aurora vibrant, this exhibit offers an opportunity to connect, reflect and celebrate the many cultures that call Aurora home.
