Everyone is welcome to attend the 2026 Annual Volunteer Award Gala and Retreat, hosted by the Global Volunteer Recognition Program on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Gaylord of the Rockies in Denver, Colorado. This special evening will honor volunteers from across the country while also celebrating two historic milestones—Colorado's 150th anniversary of statehood and America's 250th anniversary of independence.
The Annual Volunteer Award Gala will feature a private catered dinner, a formal awards ceremony, and opportunities for networking with like-minded individuals. All active members for 2025 or 2026 in attendance will be recognized with a customized award trophy, and each honoree will have the opportunity to give an acceptance speech. The gala is open to all ages and is designed to celebrate the powerful impact volunteers make in their local communities and nationwide.
The celebration continues on Saturday, June 13, 2026 with an optional group activity at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. Once a military site, the Arsenal has been transformed into a thriving wildlife sanctuary that is home to bison, bald eagles, and deer. Its story of renewal reflects the resilience and service being honored throughout the weekend.
Conveniently located near Denver International Airport, the Gaylord of the Rockies offers luxury accommodations, dining, entertainment, and even an on-site water park. While staying at the Gaylord is not required, it is highly recommended for the best experience. Day passes are available for those staying elsewhere.
This once-in-a-generation event highlights the importance of service as part of Colorado 150 and America 250, honoring the volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to strengthen communities, preserve history, and shape the future.
