April 30, 2026, marks Aurora's 135th Birthday, a great day to discover the history of your city.
Celebrate Aurora's 135th Birthday with the Aurora History Museum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.. This family-friendly open house will have cake, party games and activities for the whole family.
Or if you'd rather learn about Aurora's Early years check out a presentation at 2 p.m. This free talk discusses Donald Fletcher, the early years of Aurora history and the places and people that made up the young town. The story of Aurora's growth mirrors the growth of many front range communities and that of many communities in the American West.
Museum admission is free all day to celebrate.
