Blossom Valley Neighborhood Association

Blossom Valley Neighborhood has been hosting July 4th parties for over 40 years. Neighbors within a 1-mile radius are also by invited by word of mouth. If we have sufficient funds, the Oak Grove High School marching band will play patriotic music. They lead us on a parade, followed by Boy Scouts of America’s color guard, neighbors, and children waving the American flag. After the parade, the color guard leads us in the Pledge of Allegiance and sings patriotic music. We gather the children around, and a history teacher gives an American history lesson. We have games set up where the children can play games and receive prizes. An ice cream/snow cone truck comes. We demand clean language, no drugs, no smoking.
