Celebrate Colorado's 150th anniversary by experiencing its ranching heritage and America's 250th anniversary with a spectacular drone show!
The night begins with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Patriot Night Rodeo at Gunnison's Cattlemen's Days. Make sure you wear red, white and blue in celebration of our country! The rodeo features events such as bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding. Cattlemen's Days is the oldest rodeo in Colorado. Often called the "Granddaddy of Colorado Rodeos," it's celebrating its 126th year in 2026.
A drone show to celebrate Colorado's 150th anniversary and America's 250th anniversary will follow the rodeo. Admission to the drone show is free, but those who want to enjoy the whole rodeo will need a rodeo ticket. The rodeo will begin at 6:45 PM. The gates will open to non-ticketed guests when the barrel racing begins around 9 PM. Watch the barrel racing and bull riding before the drone show begins. An arena dance will be held during the show. Food and beer tents will remain open late until 11:30 PM. Grab a drink and enjoy the lights!
