City of Longview & Gregg County America 250 Kickoff Celebration

The City of Longview and Gregg County will host a America 250 Kickoff Celebration featuring multiple free events and activities in Downtown Longview on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The Day begins with a Chautauqua Festival at the Longview Public Library from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; a historical "old west" style festival called Dalton Days at the Gregg County historical museum from Noon - 4 p.m.; a Downtown Live concert at Heritage Plaza from 5 - 8 p.m.; an America 250 parade at 6:30 p.m.,; and an America 250 Laser Light Show at 8:15 p.m. All events are free to attend and focus on our shared local community and national history.
