Freedom Point Memorial and Dedication

Norfolk Freedom Point Memorial will be located at Skyview Lake. This is a community-driven effort to honor the men and women who have served—and continue to serve—the United States of America. More than a monument, Freedom Point will be a place of reflection, education, and unity for generations to come.

Join us for a special dedication ceremony honoring our veterans with the unveiling of a 122-foot flagpole. The height carries powerful meaning, with 22 feet representing the 22 veterans we lose each day.

At the top, a 30 x 60 foot American flag will proudly fly. At the base, all six branches of the military are honored in black granite. Surrounding the base will be individual bricks honoring and commemorating the men and women who have served.

This ceremony serves as a tribute to those who have served our country and a reminder of the sacrifices made every day. We invite the community to come together in support, reflection, and gratitude as we honor our heroes.
