I-80 Sculpture Rededication: Gering

To extend the Interstate-80 refurbishment project all the way across Nebraska, Gering will host a celebration at the Gering Civic Plaza to celebrate contemporary Nebraska sculptures installed in 2023 and to gift a new sculpture of Willa Cather to the city. A reading of Nebraska poet Jewel Rodgers poem for the 250th will be heard, Cather Foundation Director Ashley Olson will discuss the historical and cultural influence of Cather’s writings and a blue grass band will provide the sounds of music of the time. Food trucks will be available
