Trainers from across the west come to select their mustang for the Meeker Mustang Makeover Event in September in it's 8th Year. This weekend also includes a Professional Horse Clinician provide valuable insight for the selected trainers and auditing by spectators is available.

The history of the Mustang in Colorado is a 500-year-old tapestry woven into the rugged terrain of the Western Slope. These "Wild Ones"—descended from the mesteños brought by Spanish explorers in the 16th century—are not merely feral animals; they are a living heritage of the American West and a symbol of Colorado’s enduring spirit as we approach the state’s 150th anniversary.
