Salute to American Veterans Rally Kickoff

Starting August 21, Cripple Creek proudly hosts the Salute to American Veterans Rally. In this landmark year of 2026—celebrating America's 250th anniversary and Colorado's 150th year of statehood. This is Colorado's greatest celebration of freedom, patriotism, and camaraderie, and is always free, open to the public, and not to be missed. Join us as we honor, respect, and remember those brave Americans who have given us the greatest gift of all: Freedom.

Friday Kick-Off Activities
The District will echo with the spirit of patriotism as we launch a weekend of remembrance and camaraderie:
• The Arrival of the Bikers: Watch as hundreds of veteran riders and patriots make their way into the heart of Cripple Creek. The motorcycle, a symbol of the rugged freedom that defines both Colorado and the American spirit, takes center stage as riders gather to show their support.
• Live Music on Bennett Ave: The evening air will be filled with live performances, providing a space for veterans and the public to gather, share stories, and enjoy the community atmosphere of our historic downtown.
• Commemorative Drone Show: Following sunset, look to the skies for a breathtaking drone light show. This modern display will paint the night with patriotic symbols and tributes to our Armed Forces, offering a high-tech salute against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

The Rally is free and open to all. We hope to see veterans of all eras, active-duty military members, their families, and patriotic citizens from across the country. Whether you ride a bike or simply want to say "thank you," your presence helps us ensure that the sacrifices of our heroes are never forgotten.
