Stars and Stripes on Houston Street

Each year, CENTRO San Antonio produces Stars & Stripes on Houston Street proudly honors the extraordinary bravery of our nation’s Medal of Honor recipients. Throughout Houston Street, more than 70 commemorative pole banners, an initiative led by Centro, pays tribute to both living and fallen recipients, celebrating their unmatched valor, patriotism, and sacrifice.

This year, the celebration features a full day of patriotic events beginning with a 5K run, followed by a parade along historic Houston Street. The day continues with a music and food festival at Civic Park and concludes with a spectacular fireworks show, set against the iconic backdrop of the Historic Tower of the Americas.
