In 1776, the Mohawk Valley was defended by the 3rd NJ Regiment, who fortified towns and villages throughout the region. By the late summer of 1776, the Oneida Carry was officially occupied by them. Their task, rebuild the old Fort Stanwix and protect the border of the new United States of America. Come this weekend and learn about how they did that and the role these soldiers played in the defense of the Mohawk Valley at the beginning of the American Revolution.
