The SPLASH Heard Around the World – Meet & Greet with Robert Swan

Color Photograph Art Exhibition and Meet and Greet with Robert Swan, Jr. Swan will share his extraordinary account as a young college student who was in St. Augustine in June 1964. During this pivotal moment in the Civil Rights Movement, the Swan and his brother met Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., attended his press conference, and shared lunch with him at the Iceberg Restaurant. These local demonstrations helped build national support for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Rare color photographs from St. Augustine in 1964 will be on display.
